O&M Tech Senior

On-site in-person position reporting to Laskin Energy Center in Aurora, MN.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, prioritization, and scheduling of weekly, daily, and after-hour activities while complying with environmental rules and all other regulatory laws, including MP standards, on generating units of 300MW or less.
• Coordinate plant equipment and resources to meet customer requirements while maximizing efficiency within manufacturers' specifications.
• Assist with development of strategic business plan for plant operations.
• Establish and maintain working relationships using effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Apply technical expertise in all aspects of operations and general maintenance of the plant, transitioning between duties as needed.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and systems within generation standards, manufacturers’ guidelines, and compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company rules.
• Perform tasks including, but not limited to, use of hand tools, power hand tools, minor valve maintenance, lubrication, preventative maintenance tasks, filters, and light fixture maintenance.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Over 6 years of job-related work experience, such as working with electrical/electronic equipment, generating units/machinery, generation operations and planning, DCS and PLC technology, and/or some supervisory experience.
• Must maintain a Chief Grade “A” State of Minnesota Stationary Engineer License.
• Works rotating 12-hour shifts.
• Subject to Audiometric and Pulmonary Function testing.
• Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

Pay

Expected hourly compensation for this position is $57.73.
