About the role
HeyTutor has partnered with a local school district in New York City to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students. We are hiring Math Tutors to support students in grades K–5th.

Requirements
- Completed Associate’s degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college
- Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
- Comfortable tutoring Elementary School Math
- Ability to manage large groups of students independently
- Comfortable working in a classroom setting
- Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor)
- Spanish bilingual preferred (not required)
Responsibilities
- Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision
- Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
- Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment
- Support positive student behavior and participation
- Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
- Assist with student assessments when requested
- Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
- Clock in/out daily using Deputy
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Pay
- $32–$38 per hour, based on education and experience
- Attendance-based pay incentives

- Schedule: 12:30 pm–4:30 pm
