NYB - Warehouse Supervisor (Overnights)
About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations within the warehouse, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and accurately. This role involves overseeing a team of warehouse associates, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and continuous improvement in warehouse functions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates in daily operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff performance.
- Collaborate with logistics and other departments to optimize workflow.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance metrics.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and address operational issues.
- Manage warehouse equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Aid in budget management and control warehouse expenses.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of orders and shipments.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations or a supervisory role. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field. Experience in the wine and spirits industry. Proven ability to implement process improvements. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Knowledge of barcode and RFID technology.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Understanding of lean warehouse practices and principles.
Physical Demands
- Able to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 48 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the job.
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.

Pay
Southern Glazer's offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings of $80000-90000 / year. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
Schedule
Hours: Monday-Friday 9pm-5:30am
