NX CAM Applications Engineer

About the role

The Corporate IT Group at Moog is seeking a NX CAM Applications Engineer to support the company's growing manufacturing operations across its global footprint. This role is pivotal in supporting the development and maintenance of NX CAM post-processors.

Responsibilities

• Field requests from users across Moog for post development and deliver functioning software within project timelines
• Contribute to post developments routed through Enterprise IT, responsible for developing service roadmaps, reporting, managing customer demand, and implementing continuous improvement efforts
• Support enterprise IT processes for the requisition and delivery of post processors, setting and enforcing technical standards regarding integration methods or code structure
• Develop and/or facilitate training for other engineering resources who develop posts
• Remain engaged in supporting internal customers throughout the lifecycle of post development, procurement, delivery, and sustainment
• Support users with NX CAM questions, issues, and help drive enterprise CAM configurations
• Collaborate as part of the Enterprise IT Applications organization, leveraging relationships with peer leaders to drive improvement of IT services across the organization
• Contribute to the development and growth of capabilities in the organization to support this workstream long term

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering discipline, or related field or Equivalent professional experience
• Over four (4) years of progressive technical experience with NX CAM
• Experience using Post Builder/Post Configurator to create and maintain NX post processors
• Experience with NX CAD and/or Siemens Teamcenter preferred
• Experience in NX CAM Configuration and journaling automation a plus
• Strong working experience with a variety of machine controls and machine types
• Proven aptitude and experience in the development of software solutions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated competence communicating with all levels of the organization and providing exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering discipline, or related field or Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Skills

• Strong technical skills with NX CAM
• Experience with Post Builder/Post Configurator
• Knowledge of NX CAD and/or Siemens Teamcenter
• Experience with NX CAM Configuration and journaling automation
• Ability to develop and deliver software solutions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Pay

Buffalo, NY: $95,000.00–$135,000.00 Annually

Schedule

This role is full-time on-site in our East Aurora, NY office requiring domestic and international travel, up to 25%.
