About the role

The Global Network Delivery organization is looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Network Deployment Planner to join our growing Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes always with an eye on improvement.
  • Work closely with our Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand customer capacity.
  • Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with common networking terms.
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs.
  • Strong prioritization and time management ability.
  • Coordination of design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones.
  • Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
  • Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a technology background that enables them to understand the complexities of the sophisticated network architecture of Amazon data centers. They will be competent in networking principles, data center operations, cable infrastructure and fiber solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
  • Experience in project management 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
  • 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.

Skills

The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience in managing network deployment projects.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

  • USA, IN, New Carlisle - 30.00 - 54.00 USD hourly
  • USA, MS, Canton - 27.00 - 48.00 USD hourly
  • USA, VA, Herndon - 30.00 - 54.00 USD hourly
  • USA, WA, Seattle - 30.00 - 54.00 USD hourly
