AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation and delivery of inbound capacity and equipment.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching and creating documentation.
- Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages.
- Guide, train and educate staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues.
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs.
- Provide weekly report to the data center manager.
- Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, to include emergency projects, change management and maintenance window support, and potential off-hours and on-call needs.
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Host weekly staff meetings.
- Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements.
- Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
- 2+ years of management/team lead function experience
- 2+ years of experience in an IT Function or similar role
Qualifications
- 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
- Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- Experience with lean methodologies and Six-Sigma or similar qualification

Pay
$78,400.00 - $137,300.00 USD annually
