NW Deployment Build Lead , Infra - GND, Global Network Deployment

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Responsibilities
- Join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
- Collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

- Work closely with the Project Coordinators and Network Engineers to perform onsite position audit to ensure cable pathway accuracy.
- Coordinate cabling audits with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure cabling and labeling meets AWS standards.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction.
- Support Install-related tasks based on the needs of the business.
- Up to 30% travel within geographical work area may be required; some travel outside traditional work area may be requested.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ year or experience in any of the following IT roles: Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, Technical Project Management
Qualifications
- Data center experience
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT or, CCNA)
- Working knowledge of Layer 1 troubleshooting
- Familiarity with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- Familiarity with common networking terms and fabric based network design
- Familiarity with computer / server hardware troubleshooting
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience with medium to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within work environment
- Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, Load Balancers and Firewalls
- Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Working with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE) and Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies is a plus
