NW Deployment Build Lead I, L4, DCC Communities

About the role

The Network Deployment Build Lead I, L4, DCC Communities, is responsible for building out first level router-aggregates, managing console network builds, and supporting network scaling projects. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and troubleshooting of networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues.

Responsibilities

• Build out first level router-aggregates
• Build the console network for new rooms
• Support network scaling projects
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows
• Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues
• Up to 60% travel within geographical work area is required
• Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues
• Specify Power and Cooling requirements and ensure Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
• Moving and lifting computer equipment up to 50 lbs

Requirements

• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Qualifications

• Experience working with Linux operating systems
• Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
