About the role
Join our dynamic team as an Adult Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Support Dietitian. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives by providing personalized and evidence-based nutrition care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provides personalized and evidence-based nutrition care to patients that cannot meet their nutritional requirements by oral intake.
- Applies medical nutrition therapy standards of care to incorporate the nutrition care process: nutrition assessment/re-assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention (food and/or nutrient delivery, nutrition education, nutrition counseling and coordination of nutrition care) and nutrition monitoring/evaluation.
- Implements, monitors, and maintains parenteral and enteral Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
- Works collaboratively with colleagues throughout the enterprise to develop MNT practice guidelines and/or protocols, curriculum and nutrition education materials.
- Precepts dietetic interns; mentors and trains new staff (clinic and hospitals).
- Collaborates with dietetic technicians and administrative support staff.
- Works collaboratively with providers and other allied health care staff to develop and deliver programs and services that promote both therapeutic and wellness initiatives.
- Researches best practices ensuring effective interventions and measures outcomes of interventions.
- Demonstrates effective public speaking/presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
- Completion of Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited internship.
- An advanced degree in nutrition or related field is preferred.
- Two years of experience in clinical, hospital-based nutrition support.
- Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential required within one year of employment.
