The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Worker I at Bella Vista High School.

About the role

This position is part-time, permanent, and calendar-based, lasting 9 months/year with 205 days/year and 5 days/week. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to students in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with inventory management and kitchen operations.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California Food Handlers Card.
• Experience in food service or related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks in a food service environment.

Skills

• Knowledge of nutrition and meal preparation techniques.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

Benefits

The position offers competitive compensation starting at $19.56 per hour, with a potential range up to $24.11 per hour.
