About the role

We are looking for a Part-Time Nutrition Services Associate to join our team at Westwood Campus. The successful candidate will be committed to our district's values by providing exceptional customer service, following food safety and sanitation regulations, working well with others, demonstrating a positive attitude, being dependable, and engaging in ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned by the kitchen manager, including but not limited to food prep, serving, cashiering, and operating a dish machine.
• Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with students, staff, and co-workers.
• Attend job-related training classes and workshops to meet professional standards (4 hours/year).
• Follow Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
• Maintain high standards and working knowledge of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

The Westwood nutrition team proudly serves students in grades 5-8, handling over 400 breakfasts and 1,200 lunches per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background check and pre-work physical.
• Provide and pass 3 professional reference checks.
• Working knowledge of computers, including email.
• Ability to pass a pre-work physical.

Preferences

• Experience working in the food service industry is preferred.
• Pleasant disposition toward students while serving breakfast and lunch.

Pay

$20.30/hour

Schedule

• 4.75 hours/day, 9:15 AM – 2:00 PM.
• 168 student contact days based on the school year calendar (September–June) plus two training days in August.
