Nutrition Services Dietary Aide

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely handles and prepares food according to guidelines.
• Tests and records temperatures of food and cold storage areas.
• Discards expired or contaminated food as necessary.
• Wears appropriate protective wear and follows infection control policies.
• Prepares food using standardized recipes and production worksheets.
• Ensures timely and correct meal production and portion control.
• Performs daily and scheduled cleaning of kitchen and equipment.
• Sets up and cleans dining rooms after use.
• Stores, chills, and reheats leftovers for later use.
• Completes kitchen close duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Food handlers' card required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must have fundamental understanding of sanitations, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Must have regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
• Must be able to work weekends.
