Nutrition Services Assistant - North - Long Hour

Location: North High School

About the role

Academic-year position (9 months, 5 days per week) responsible for providing support in all aspects of preparing and serving school meals, meeting and maintaining Nutrition Services policies, including sanitation and safety standards. Function as a cashier as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Enter temperatures on temperature sheets and food used on the pick list
• Assist the Kitchen Manager as requested
• Provide assistance in cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, cleaning spills, taking inventory, or any other duty as assigned

Requirements

• Good organizational and mathematical skills
• Ability to follow direction
• Pleasant personality and ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
• Food Service experience
• Ability to work with computers or willingness to learn
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Attain certification with School Nutrition Association within one year of employment
• Cashiering ability

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass background check and physical
• Good physical health, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, standing, and walking
• Repetitive motion with wrists, hands, and fingers
• Frequent bending, carrying, hearing, lifting, and stooping
• Occasional climbing and crawling
• Standing for long periods of time, as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing

Schedule

6 hours per day, 9 months (academic year), 5 days per week.
