Nutrition Services Aide-limbo/VBH

About the role

This is an entry-level food service position responsible for assembling, delivering, and picking up room service and standard patient trays, performing various food preparation duties, and maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with Nutrition Services management on any issues that arise during the shift.
• Ensure all HACCP/Sanitation paperwork is completed and turned in before the shift ends.
• Assemble, prepare, deliver, pick up, and sanitize patient trays.
• Prepare cold foods for patient meals.
• Greet and assist patients and residents, ensuring trays are set up properly before leaving rooms.
• Verify tray accuracy before delivery.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
• Re-stock supplies, including silverware, plates, and dishes, as needed.
• Clean the dish room and machine after all meals.
• Complete daily tasks assigned by the Nutrition Services Aide Lead (task sheet).
• Take food temperatures to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed prior to the end of the shift.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with rules and regulations.
• Process customer transactions, including issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change.
• Tabulate bills using cash registers and price scanners.
• Reconcile daily deposits.
• Stock shelves, including condiments and utensils.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement: 16 years.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.

Pay

$15.90 - $22.26 per hour.
