NUTRITION ASSISTANT 1
Job Summary
You will assist in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient food services to patients and staff. Your responsibilities include preparing and delivering meal trays, assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring food safety compliance, and interacting with patients regarding dietary needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver meal trays
- Avoid cross-contamination of foods and adhere to personal hygiene requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure food safety compliance
- Monitor and maintain food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes
- Respond to food allergy questions or requests
- Follow organizational standards and guidelines for a high quality patient and customer experience
- Ensure proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation
- May be responsible for cashiering, serving in the retail area, assembling, delivering and retrieving patient trays, performing cold food prep, performing utility assignments, supporting inventory maintenance duties, and performing general cleaning of equipment and work areas
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- General Studies upon hire or High School GED upon hire or Equivalent combination of education and experience
- No previous experience required
