Nutanix & Windows Infrastructure Lead

Hybrid role based in Marlborough, MA; must be onsite 2–3 days per week. Visa transfer or sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

About the role

Seeking an experienced Nutanix & Windows Infrastructure Lead to manage and optimize enterprise Nutanix HCI, virtualization, and Windows server environments. The role requires strong expertise in Nutanix, Windows infrastructure, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, automation, and team leadership to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer Nutanix environments (Prism Central/Element, AHV, LCM, DR, replication, capacity management).
• Manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, IIS, and clustering.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, virtualization, networking, and OS-related issues.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Lead L2/L3 infrastructure teams, drive RCA activities, and implement operational best practices.
• Collaborate with application, network, security, and cloud teams on infrastructure initiatives.
• Develop automation, monitoring solutions, and operational reporting.

• Nutanix Prism Central/Element, AHV, LCM, DR & Replication
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS
• PowerShell Scripting & Automation
• VMware vSphere/ESXi (Good to have)
• Backup Solutions (Veeam) (Good to have)

Pay

Annual salary range: $100,000 – $115,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
