Nursing Technician

The Progressive Care Unit is a cornerstone of acute patient care, managing 35+ patients with diverse needs including telemetry monitoring, complex cardiac procedures, and medical-surgical recovery.

About the role

Functions under the supervision of the RN in a cooperative effort with the health care team to assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties. Maintains the standards of nursing care for all patients and implements the policies and procedures of the unit, Hospital and Nursing Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist with telemetry monitoring, complex cardiac procedures, and medical-surgical recovery.
• Maintain standards of nursing care and implement unit, hospital, and nursing department policies.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant I License
• Certified Nursing Assistant II License
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Synquest)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with Hoyer lift, communication devices, specialty beds, and automatic blood pressure cuff
• GNA / CNA Licensure
• BLS CPR card from AHA

Experience

Less than one year of experience is acceptable.

Pay

Pay range: $20.00 to $27.29 per hour, based on experience.
