Nursing Tech - Float Pool

Functions under the supervision of the RN in a cooperative effort with the health care team to assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties. Maintains the standards of nursing care for all patients and implements the policies and procedures of the unit, Hospital, and Nursing Department. Must be able to float to all designated areas (Critical Care, Acute Care, Telemetry, ED, BHU, and OR).

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN and healthcare team in providing patient care.
• Maintain nursing care standards for all patients.
• Implement unit, hospital, and nursing department policies and procedures.
• Float to designated areas including Critical Care, Acute Care, Telemetry, ED, BHU, and OR.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience preferably in Critical Care, Acute Care, Telemetry, ED, BHU, or OR.
• Basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with Synquest, medical terminology, Hoyer lift, communication devices, specialty beds, and automatic B/P cuff.
• GNA / CNA Licensure.
• BLS card from AHA.

Pay

$20.00 to $27.29 per hour, based on experience.
