4G is a 22-bed unit that cares for a variety of medical and surgical patients, specializing in digestive diseases. The patient population is an even mix of medical and surgical cases, including colorectal and bariatric surgical patients as well as bowel obstruction, kidney failure, cellulitis, and falls. The unit is an accredited bariatric surgery center focused on continuous quality improvement. The team is dedicated to providing a high level of care to enhance the lives of patients and their families.

About the Role
Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the healthcare team. Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
Responsibilities
- Take vitals and check blood sugars
- Perform bed bathing and assist with ambulation
- Provide wound care and catheterization
- Act as a safety attendant for patients
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
