Nursing Supervisor (RN) / PRN Nights

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Nurse Supervisors (RNs) are integral in ensuring compassionate, high-quality care and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Administer and supervise the clinical care provided.
• Assist with performance appraisals, mentoring staff during orientation, and handling disciplinary issues.
• Manage resources and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Promote a culture of learning by complying with educational requirements.
• Implement the staffing plan for your shift.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including lab results.
• Accurately transcribe and process medical orders.
• Be competent in rapid response and code events.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Requirements

• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS certification at hire.
• ACLS certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in a critical care setting is beneficial.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

$48.00 per hour.
