Nursing Supervisor (RN) - Full-time

About the role

RUSH Specialty Hospital inpatient rehabilitation is a joint venture/partnership/affiliation with Select Medical. This role is for a Nursing Supervisor - Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant.
• Serve as a resource person and consultant to assigned nursing personnel.
• Provide and oversee nursing care, implement hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives.
• Maintain approved standards of patient care, collaborate with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.

Requirements

• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS is required at hire.
• Certified ACLS required within first 6 months of hire/promotion into Nursing Supervisor position.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• CRRN preferred.
