Role Overview
The Nursing Supervisor Labor and Delivery ensures high-quality, patient-centered care during their shift, supervising nursing staff and coordinating unit functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with admissions/discharges
- Monitor care quality
- Promote teamwork
- Support patient-first initiatives
- Engage in service recovery
- Participate in staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Manage supplies and inventory to ensure efficient unit operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid RN license (TX or compact)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- At least 2 years of hospital experience
- 1+ year of RN leadership
- 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Advanced fetal monitoring certification within 6 months (required)
- BLS certification (required)
