Nursing Supervisor, Emergency Psychiatric Services (Nashville, TN)

Based out of Nashville, we also have satellite offices in various communities.
Position Summary
Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to Diversion Services nursing staff. Ensure all protocols and procedures are carried out and fulfill requirements from the agency and payors. Ensure prompt assessments of consumers admitted to Emergency Psychiatric Services. Update protocols and keep staff updated on any changes. Lead staff meetings and develop agendas focused on team motivation and education. Address team concerns and complete performance appraisals within timelines. Monitor and assist in hiring, orienting, and training Diversion Services nurses. Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and provide after-hours on-call coverage. Provide direct line services as needed on the unit. Complete monthly supervisions and report consumer care to relevant staff. Maintain and facilitate communication regarding consumer care with all relevant staff. Monitor consumer behavior and ensure timely and appropriate documentation. Develop and maintain community and MHC inter-departmental relations. Ensure an active programming schedule is completed daily. Ensure adequate medical supplies are ordered in a timely manner. Provide feedback on improving efficiency and effectiveness of programs. Complete documentation audits for all Emergency Psychiatric Services nurses as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Valid Tennessee Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years’ direct care experience in mental health field
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
