Nursing Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Orients and trains supervised employees in job duties.
• Conducts timely performance evaluations and processes related paperwork.
• Addresses disciplinary issues, documents actions, and ensures compliance with policies.
• Ensures supervised employees meet minimum training requirements and monitors attendance.
• Processes payroll in UKG and resolves payroll issues for supervised employees.
• Completes Samanage forms (NUAF, billet changes) and submits change forms accurately.
• Communicates with HR to maintain accurate billet lists and fill open positions.
• Creates and conducts training on mental illness, addiction, and related medical concerns.
• Monitors Carelogic to ensure timely correction of failed activities and unsigned documents for billing.
• Assigns duties, creates monthly schedules, and coordinates nursing services.
• Defines and maintains standards of nursing practice within the Agency.
• Evaluates nursing activities to ensure client care, staff relations, and efficiency.
• Works with Medical Manager to create nursing protocols and workflows.
• Encourages staff participation in identifying services for positive client outcomes.
• Facilitates open communication among staff.
• Participates in staff training on medical issues (e.g., substance use disorders, disease transmission, medication policy, CPR, First Aid).
• Manages and secures prescription medications, sharps, syringes, and medical equipment; monitors patient compliance.
• Reviews and approves invoices (pharmacy, contract nurse, laboratory).
• Maintains accountability of medical equipment and supplies; schedules biohazard waste management.
• Coordinates medical care plans with medical providers.
• Monitors pharmacy policy compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Supervises direct care staff and serves as a resource.
• Collaborates with other departments and agencies for improved patient care and staff development.
• Serves as spokesperson for nursing matters and represents Oriana House professionally.
• Investigates and resolves complaints or escalates unusual problems.
• Provides direct client care and coverage during staff absences across all facilities.
• Oversees compliance with standards of care, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Complies with OSHA requirements.
• Maintains professional training, licensure, and stays current with developments.
• Completes tasks independently, makes timely decisions, and meets productivity quotas.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid Ohio license.
• One (1) year of clinical and nursing management leadership experience.
• Three (3) years of RN nursing experience, with one (1) year in behavioral health or Emergency Department preferred.
• Maintains licensure/certification in good standing.
• Willingness to travel; reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurable driving record.
• Cognitive skills to learn, remember, focus, categorize, and integrate information for decision-making and problem-solving.
• Ability to multitask, address complex problems, and perform under high stress or emergencies.
• Effectively works with employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.

Pay

$89,440.00 - $125,216.00
