Nursing Supervisor - Acute Care

About the Role

Provides leadership for nursing units and clinical support areas, ensuring quality patient care and efficient resource utilization in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, and mentors staff; responds to managerial requests and manages staff performance.
• Coordinates patient flow between units to optimize safety and patient experience.
• Evaluates patient care effectiveness, addresses issues impacting outcomes, and collaborates with staff, physicians, and departments.
• Handles complaints and conflicts, making administrative decisions in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Utilizes critical thinking and decisive judgment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; ADN or BSN required, master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Certification in BLS; ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation within specified timeframes.
• Additional certifications like Trauma Nurse Core Course or Advanced Trauma Care are advantageous.
