Nursing Staffing Coordinator

Appreciated for your coordination skills, you’ll manage the nursing schedule to ensure exceptional patient care while performing clerical duties that keep the team running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily nursing staff assignments to meet patient-care needs across the facility.
• Monitor real-time census and acuity data; adjust staffing levels in collaboration with nursing leadership.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date schedules using the hospital’s staffing software.
• Process timecards, track overtime, and verify payroll submissions.
• Communicate staffing updates to charge nurses, unit managers, and agency partners.
• Assist with onboarding new hires and orienting float-pool and per-diem staff.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical nursing experience in an acute-care or rehabilitation setting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and staffing/scheduling software.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
