Nursing Staffing Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage the nursing schedule to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Perform various clerical duties using excellent organizational skills.
• Work closely with nursing leaders to identify improvements in nursing department staffing.
• Assist and advise supervisors with any problems related to the nursing schedule.
• Ensure compliance of employee/contract/student files with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and inform nursing staff of their assigned schedules.
• Distribute nursing schedules in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisors of staffing ratio issues.
• Draft professional and appropriate letters, emails, reports, and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee personal and financial data.

Qualifications

• A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in staffing or scheduling within a hospital setting is preferred.
