About the role
The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and professional development initiatives for team members across the health system. This role focuses on transition to practice for new graduates and experienced nurses, fosters workplace learning through evidence-based strategies, and applies adult learning principles to meet the diverse needs of clinical teams. The position will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure continuous professional growth and improve patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs and professional development initiatives for team members across the health system.
- Foster workplace learning through evidence-based strategies.
- Apply adult learning principles to meet the diverse needs of clinical teams.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure continuous professional growth and improve patient care outcomes.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in nursing required within 24 months of hire.
- At least one Baptist Health approved certification is required for this role. NPD certification is highly encouraged within 3 years of hire.
- Over 5 years' experience in NICU required.
- Over 5 years' experience in an acute care setting required.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Learning and development preferred.
Education Note
A Master's degree in nursing required within 24 months of hire.
Certification Note
At least one Baptist Health approved certification is required for this role. NPD certification is highly encouraged within 3 years of hire.
Experience
- Over 5 years' experience in NICU required.
- Over 5 years' experience in an acute care setting required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
- Nursing Professional Development - Board Certified (NPD-BC) Preferred.
