Nursing Professional Development Specialist

We are seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) to lead education, onboarding, and competency management across multiple units, including Emergency Department, Progressive Care, Clinical Decision, Surgical, and Behavioral Health. The NPDS will facilitate orientation, develop individualized training plans, and create evidence-based educational programs to support clinical excellence and staff growth. Responsibilities include assessing learning needs, managing competency validation, promoting evidence-based practice, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Key duties also involve collaborating with nursing leaders and interdisciplinary teams, supporting professional development, and serving as a resource for staff and leadership. Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Master's degree or current enrollment with completion within three years, at least three years of recent acute care nursing experience, board certification, and active RN licensure or eligibility for Maryland licensure.
