About the role

The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner at AdventHealth is responsible for guiding learners towards desired outcomes, assessing organizational and external opportunities, and influencing professional role competence and growth.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to nursing professional development processes and ensures measurable outcomes.
• Identifies potential projects and/or subject matter expertise for clinical inquiry.
• Collaborates with others to solve problems and implement changes.
• Supports nursing research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
• Disseminates evidence-based practice findings through various educational programs and activities.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of word processing, data management, email, and presentation applications.
• Effective professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the American Nurses Association (ANA)/Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) scope and standards for Nursing Professional Development.
• Self-directed, creative, and demonstrates initiative to fulfill the seven roles of the NPD practitioner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
• Master's [Preferred]
• Field Of Study of Nursing or Healthcare related field [Required]
• 2+ years of nursing experience in a hospital setting [Required]
• Experience in specialty area applying for [Preferred]
• Experience as preceptor [Preferred]
• Previous teaching experience in formal/informal settings [Preferred]
• 1+ years of experience as an NPD Practitioner [Preferred]

Skills

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, OSHA) for professional specialty served [Preferred]
• Knowledge of word processing, data management, email, and presentation applications
