Nursing Professional Development Practitioner - Nursing Education

About the role

Provides education and professional development to support the clinical competence and growth of nursing and clinical Team Members.

Assesses learning needs, develops and leads evidence-based educational programs, supports new hire orientation, and promotes clinical excellence in alignment with the ANPD Scope and Standards of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical education and professional development programs
• Conducts needs assessments and applies evidence-based educational strategies
• Supports orientation and ongoing development of clinical Team Members
• Serves as a clinical and educational resource to direct care staff
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and change management
• Performs appropriate RN functions and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Required: BSN with 3 years of clinical experience OR Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field with 4 years of nursing education experience
• Preferred: ED or ICU experience
• PREFERRED: Professional organization certification, ANPD certification
