About the role
Serves as primary resource for planning, coordinating and facilitating nursing professional development (NPD) and clinical education throughout Parkview Health. Uses tools, theories, skills and knowledge of NPD to improve the practice of coworkers. The NPD Practitioner is accountable for NPD practitioner competencies.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Indiana Perinatal Standards require a Master's degree, MSN preferred, or be actively in progress of obtaining the degree for NICU and Obstetrics educators.
Experience
- Minimum of three years' experience in direct patient care.
- Indiana Perinatal Standards require advanced neonatal and obstetrical experience for NICU and Obstetrics educators.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Minimum proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office suite.
