About the role
Bethel University is searching for an Affiliate Adjunct faculty member who will teach primarily adult medical-surgical and fundamentals clinical and laboratory courses working with adult students in an accelerated post-baccalaureate nursing program. Most courses are hybrid with clinical experiences and skills intensives.
Responsibilities
- Teach in clinical settings; specifically adult medical/surgical (inpatient acute care settings) and fundamentals (TCU settings).
- Other specialty settings as qualified.
- Teach in the nursing skills and simulation labs.
- Some online teaching in hybrid skills and clinical courses.
- Evaluation of students in clinical and skills settings, including performance exams.
- Contribute to teaching team meetings, curriculum projects, and office hours (other faculty responsibilities like advising and University committee work are not expected for this position).

Experience
- A minimum of three years of clinical practice experience in medical/surgical nursing required
- Clinical practice experience in an additional nursing specialty welcome
- Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset
- Previous experience working with diverse individuals or groups is preferred
Education
- A Master’s degree in nursing is required
- A clinical focus with practice in adult medical-surgical nursing care setting is required
- Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility is required
