Nursing Oncology Coordinator

About the opportunity

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Specialty: Oncology
Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities

• Assess patients physical and emotional status, past health history and health practices by demonstrating effective communication skills with patients, significant others and members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Assess the family and patient's understanding of disease and disease processes
• Provide education to patients on treatments
• Provide education to the family, as needed
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2-3 years experience in oncology

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree in nursing

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
