The Role

The Nursing Home Regional Medical Director is an important member of the healthcare team in a nursing home, responsible for overall coordination of care and implementation of policies related to the care of the residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical expertise and guidance to the organization
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Supervise medical staff and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
  • Conduct research to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Manage medical management activities including utilization review and case management
  • Oversee critical care services and ensure optimal patient care
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance patient care delivery
  • Oversight and growth of the Specialty Division in our Nursing Home Division (Bronx Medical PC at Essen Health Care)
  • Serving as Facility Medical Director for a select number of facilities on behalf of NH Division (Bronx Medical PC at Essen Health Care)

Requirements

This is a senior leadership role with both operational and clinical accountability. MD/DO Post-residency experience in a clinical setting preferred. Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising medical staff. In-depth knowledge of Nursing & Rehabilitation centers and medical best practices. Familiarity with managed care principles. Ability to adhere to regulatory standards and quality measures.

Benefits

Salary: $250,000 - $275,000
