About the role

Golden Sonora Care Center is seeking an experienced Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) to oversee the day-to-day operations of our 210-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility. This is an opportunity for a proven long-term care leader who can build a strong team, maintain a culture of accountability, and drive excellence in resident care and facility performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for facility operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop department heads while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
  • Partner with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to support quality resident care and positive outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and ensure ongoing survey readiness.
  • Oversee staffing, labor, budgeting, and other key operational priorities.
  • Monitor facility performance and implement strategies to address opportunities for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, and community partners.
  • Promote a workplace culture focused on teamwork, employee engagement, safety, and service.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, life-safety, and risk-management programs.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership on strategic initiatives and facility goals.

Qualifications

  • Current Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, as required by applicable regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatric care, or a related healthcare setting.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care operations, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems and applications.
  • Passion for providing exceptional care and service to older adults.
