About the role

The Adjunct Faculty-Med/Surg position at Westcliff University is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and empowering students through innovative, tech-driven programs. Responsibilities

  • Teaches assigned course load and maintains regular office hours.
  • Participates in course and program assessment for continuous improvement.
  • Updates course materials and syllabi in alignment with shared governance.
  • Uses diverse teaching methods to support student achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching and student engagement.
  • Provides timely feedback and academic advising per University protocols.
  • Maintains teaching effectiveness through student, peer, and administrative evaluations, and student outcomes.
  • Actively mentors students and integrates scholarly and cross-disciplinary approaches to enhance instruction.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License.
  • Meets the Board of Registered Nursing requirements as stipulated in their statutes.
  • Experience in teaching nursing skills lab including simulated learning environments.
  • Previous teaching experience including curriculum development, assessment and evaluation.
  • Ability to navigate electronic learning platforms.
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft Suites.
  • Post master’s certificate in nursing education, doctoral degree in nursing practice (DNP), and/or PhD in Nursing.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of nursing education and pedagogy.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options to accommodate both faculty and student needs.
