About the Role
Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurses with a passion for teaching to join our Nursing Program as Clinical Adjunct Nurse Educators. This position focuses on providing clinical instruction and fostering student growth in long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
Schedule
This semester (summer): Tuesdays 6:45 AM – 2:00 PM and Fridays 6:45 AM – 2:00 PM. Potential for next semester: Wednesdays 6:15 AM – 3:00 PM and/or Fridays 6:15 AM – 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
- Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
- Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
- Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
- Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience progress.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education, in-service training, and academic courses.
- Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.
Qualifications
- MSN required.
- Valid State RN License required.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

- Ability to supervise students in the clinical environment.
- Ability to deliver effective lessons on the level of an RN or PN student.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that will contribute to student learning.
