Nursing Educator - Adjunct

About the role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors to join our dedicated team. We are committed to providing high-quality clinical instruction at various healthcare settings to support the academic growth and professional development of our students.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
• Create a supportive and engaging clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
• Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Current valid State RN license
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required

• Motivated, self-directed, and team-oriented.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to prioritize workflow effectively.
• Ability to supervise students in the clinical setting.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that contributes to student learning.

Skills

• Ability to deliver an effective lesson on the level of an RN or PN student.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position is part-time, with shifts on Mondays from 10am-12pm (Theory) and/or Wednesdays from 10am-1pm (Theory).
