About the role

The position is Exempt from the State of Delaware Merit System. Recruitment #012226-MUDG01-351100. The responsibilities of the Nursing Director include lead clinical support functions and clinical operations; optimizing care workflows and other service delivery; ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance; serving as the link between executive leadership, management, and frontline staff; directing nursing and other related and assigned operations while collaborating with interdisciplinary providers and leadership; applying current nursing best practices; managing healthcare-related contracts; ensuring staffing and fiscal accountability; supporting organizational policy development and monitoring; serving as an executive team member; and participating on committees at Stockley and within the Division.

Responsibilities

- Provides or evaluates direct nursing care. - Develops, implements and/or reviews nursing care plans. - Provides health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and/or nursing home facilities in the management of their health care needs. - Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team. - Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations and forms. - Participates in and make recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Nursing
  • At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care Nursing OR a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing and at least two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care Nursing OR a license or temporary permit to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.
  • Six months' experience in budget development which includes developing a budget, analyzing financial data and making long- and short-range plans and projections.
  • Six months' experience in developing policies and procedures.
  • Six months' experience in operations management which includes planning, directing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating operations typically through subordinate supervisors.

Benefits

A satisfactory criminal background check is required and must be covered by the applicant, with an estimated cost of $85.00. Pre-employment drug testing is also required. Additionally, all new hires are required to complete a 2-Step TB/PPD test, which will be administered on their first day at the facility.

Yearly: $86,794/min - $115,725/mid - $144,656/max
