About the Role

This leadership position supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in managing nursing and patient care services across multiple units within a hospital. It involves assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient care. The role requires 24/7 accountability for designated areas, supporting clinical staff competency, resource management, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing nursing functions and patient care services.
• Support the CNO in maintaining high standards of care and staff competency.
• Provide leadership, communication, and advocacy for nursing staff.
• Ensure resource management and compliance with safety protocols.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse license in the practice state.
• Associate degree in nursing with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• MSN or master's in healthcare.
