Nursing Clerk, Emergency Dept - North

Job Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties relating to the updating and organizing of information on a nursing unit, coordinating work within the unit, reporting pertinent information to ED team members, providers and nursing leadership as appropriate, and responding to inquiries and requests from nursing staff and physicians.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School or equivalent.
• Minimum Work Experience: No previous experience required.
• Required Licenses/Certifications: Completion of HMC Nursing Clerk course as it is offered. EMR training and access (provided by HMC) prior to completion of unit orientation. Unit-based orientation.
• Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities: Ability to maintain professional appearance and decorum at all times. Ability to handle confidential information. Designated Driver. No OSHA Category 1 - High Risk.
