Requirements
- Education and Credentials:
- 17 years of age or older
- Basic computer application skills
- BCLS certification
- Nurse Aide I: Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services
- Nurse Aide II: Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services and the NC Board of Nursing
- Additional Requirements by Practice Area:
- ED: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within six months of employment date
- Psychiatry: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within three months of employment date and renewed at least bi-annually for the first year and annually thereafter
Qualifications
No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of job within three months of employment date.
Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Formal training in basic computer applications
- Ability to type proficiently
