Nursing Assistant Student - Telemetry Per diem Day
About the role
This position is Per Diem and will work 12-hour Day shifts. The Student Nursing Assistant is a student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school program. Functions under the direct supervision of Clinical Supervisor, bedside Registered Nurse or Designee and within the scope of practice that the clinical supervisor or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the skills of the Student Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Functions under the direct supervision of Clinical Supervisor, bedside Registered Nurse or Designee and within the scope of practice that the clinical supervisor or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the skills of the Student Nursing Assistant.
- Assists with daily activities, comfort, and a safe patient care environment while ensuring patient safety through close, continuous observation.
- Delegates basic patient care tasks as directed by the Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Delegate.
- Documents all patient observation and care activities.
- Performs non-direct patient care duties as assigned.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Must complete at least the first semester of an accredited nursing school program.
Qualifications
- Completed the first semester of the core classes of an accredited nursing school program.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently.
- Basic knowledge of patient care procedures and safety protocols.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
