Nursing Assistant (STNA/CNA) - Full-time Nights

About the role

At Special Care Hospital - Columbus - Vic Village, Nursing Assistants (NA) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care to patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Preferred qualifications: Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)

Pay

$18.05 - $22.00 per hour (depending on years of experience)

Schedule

Full-time / 12-hour Shifts / Night Shifts (7pm - 7am)
