Nursing Assistant Perioperative - Inpatient PACU - 100% FTE, Day/Evening

Work Schedule

100% FTE. This is a Day/Evening position with (4) four, 10-hour shifts, start times vary between 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Rotating weekends required. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.

Responsibilities

• Care for ICU, IMC, general care, or outpatient placement patients
• Communicate with units and ancillary staff
• Settle surgical/post-anesthesia patients, obtain vitals, reposition patients, set up suction, assist with airway, empty drains, empty foleys - per RN request
• Auxiliary tasks such as assisting with activities of daily living, patient transport, intentional rounding, stocking, and ordering equipment
• Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care

Requirements

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program
• Required Work Experience: 1 year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant

Qualifications

• Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry
• Required BLS/CPR certification within 3 months
