Responsibilities

• Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provide basic nursing care for an assigned group of patients across multiple units, including General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal Child Units, Nursery, Pediatric, GI Lab, Chemical Dependent Unit, Psychiatric Unit, Emergency Unit, and Surgical Services.
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred education: Completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting course.
• Preferred experience: At least 6 months in the healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
• Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
• Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention training to be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer.
