Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician (NA/PCT)

Responsibilities

• Aid in patient assessments and interviews
• Take vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, respiration, and weight
• Document medical histories including medications, treatments, and medical conditions
• Support ADLs including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Provide basic wound care and laboratory tests
• Offer basic patient education and instructions
• Report changes in patients' health to nurses
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies
• Answer phones, emails, and other communications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA required)
• Effective communication with diverse patients, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues
• Confidentiality and adherence to a Code of Conduct and facility policies
• Physical capabilities to stand for long periods, lift and move patients up to 50 pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR
