About the role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors with a focus on quality care in a Christian environment. As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will deliver resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and provide psychosocial support.
- Monitor and record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and document care interactions.
- Support transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Assist with meals, create positive dining experiences, and provide water and supplements.
- Support housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness and recreational activities.
- Communicate resident condition changes to nursing staff and aid in procedures as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process within four months.
- Prior clinical or long-term care experience preferred.
- Ability to complete competency testing, maintain continuing education credits, and follow infection control policies.
- Depending on responsibilities, may require a valid driver’s license and medical clearance for driving.
