Nursing Assistant - Older Adult/Geriatric Med Surg - 24 or 36 Hours/Week - Nights

Responsibilities
- Supports personal hygiene and daily living needs of patients.
- Ensures patient comfort and provides vital sign monitoring.
- Cleans and prepares treatment spaces while ensuring patient safety.
- Communicates patient needs and feedback to appropriate staff.
- Completes clinical activities as per the patient's plan of care.
- Documents patient activities and responses accurately and timely.
- Maintains a safe, efficient, and sanitary patient care environment.
- Performs exam room preparation and equipment setup.
- Maintains clinical care stock and restocks areas independently.
- Assists with patient amenities and transportation.
- Manages sterilization needs and follows infection control protocols.
- Answers call lights and reports incidents to appropriate staff.
- Performs other duties as delegated by professional staff.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Completion of first clinical rotation as Nursing Assistant preferred.
- Completion of a 75-hour state-approved Nurse Assistant course or 6 months of Nurse Assistant experience required.
- Previous customer service, cleaning, food service, and patient-related experience preferred.
- One to three months on-the-job experience to learn hospital procedures and routines preferred.
- Previous experience in patient care settings such as hospitals, clinics, or nursing homes preferred.
- Previous experience with direct patient contact preferred.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.

Schedule
The position is available on a 24 or 36-hour per week schedule, with shifts starting at 6:45pm and ending at 7:15am.
